Although the food raid towards five traditional markets in East Jakarta keeps being intensified, yet dangerous food products are still detected. From total 355 samples taken, 28 out of them are containing hazardous chemicals.

Section Head of Food Security for East Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Sub-dept, Siti Halimah disclosed the raid is held in five markets, namely Permunnas Klender, Cawang Kapling, Cipinang Muara, Pondok Bambu and Sawah Barat.
"Of the 355 samples, 28 out of them are positively containing hazardous chemicals," she stated, Friday (7/28).
Formalin-Preserved Food Found in South JakartaAccording to him, 355 samples are agriculture product with 144 samples, livestock with 111 samples and maritime with 100 samples.
Meanwhile, those dangerous products are from red grape and Medan orange containing pesticide in Perumnas Klender Markat as well as white tofu and Jambi tofu containing formalin.
In Cawang Kapling Market, pesticide is found in red chili pepper and formalin in tomato and orange. Similar case is also spotted in other markets.
